We’ve worked with two of the best family-owned groves in Spain to bring these special products to your table. As the name suggests, these two olive oil's are from Lot No.6 and Lot No.3 in Spain. Moro has chosen to partner with these two family owned businesses due to their great reputations, quality, expertise, and shared family values. The two groves use different olive oil varieties, Picudo and Arbequina, which gives you two wonderfully different flavours.
Lot No.3 has been sourced from Hualdo Estate in beautiful Toledo, Spain. The family who run this grove have a genuine passion for olive oil. In 1996, they planted 300,000 trees and ten years later had a state of the art oil mill. The Hualdo Estate produces exceptional oils that continue to win the most prestigious awards in the world. Lot No.3 is made from the Arbequina olive variety that grows in the unique high altitude landscape of Toledo. The exquisite taste of this top quality EVOO is harmonious and fragrant with hints of green tomato, fresh herbs and raw artichoke. Lot No.6 comes from Muela Estate, nestled in the heart of Priego de Cordoba, Spain. It was over 70 years ago that Don Mateo Muela Velasco founded the company with a view to preserving the tradition and craftsmanship required to produce high quality olive oils. The Muela family has made olive oil a way of life, and the climate and rich soil of their grove allow them to produce some of the world’s most highly awarded olive oil. This olive oil is made from the rare variety of Picuda olives, grown at the foot of the highest mountain in Cordoba. It is ideal for the olive oil lover in search of a ‘kick’ due to its big flavours. This robust EVOO has a delicious, complex, fruity and slightly spicy flavour with notes of fresh herbs and fruit such as apples and bananas. It can be described as peppery, ripe and fullbodied.
